Jac’Queena James® is an industrial designer, inventor, and founder of YTUSI®, a luxury sports design brand built at the intersection of innovation, fashion, culture, function, and ownership.

Born in Mississippi and raised in New Jersey, Jac’Queena developed her creative eye in a family where style was part of everyday life. Her grandmother Pearl and both of her parents introduced her to style at every level, from Goodwill to Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman. By her teenage years, she was already working in fashion and managing at Armani Exchange, sharpening an early instinct for detail, quality, fit, and presentation.

Her perspective was also shaped by entertainment, sport, and the visual language of uniforms, from cheerleading and drill team to Catholic school. Where others saw uniformity, she saw identity, structure, and personal expression. Those influences continue to inform her approach to beauty, utility, wearability, and the creation of physical products designed for movement and real life.

YTUSI® first came to her as a whisper at age 12. In 2020, that vision became tangible when she created and patented the original YTUSI® belt, beginning an expanding portfolio of original designs and protected intellectual property.

Pearls became a defining part of her design language because of their deeply personal meaning. They represent pressure, resilience, wisdom, refinement, and becoming something rare without losing your value.

Now based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jac’Queena is building YTUSI® for a global future, creating opportunities across sports, entertainment, retail, licensing, and brand partnerships.

She builds ideas into identities, identities into intellectual property, and intellectual property into functional design.
