Jac’Queena James™ is a multidisciplinary fashion and industrial designer, inventor, visionary, and founder of YTUSI®, a luxury sports design brand built on protected innovation, pearls, structure, entertainment culture, and ownership.
Born in Mississippi and raised across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Jac’Queena developed her creative eye within a family where fashion was always present. Her grandmother Pearl and both of her parents introduced her to style from every perspective, from thrift stores and Goodwill to Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman.
By her teenage years, she was already working in fashion and developing a deep understanding of detail, fit, quality, and presentation.
With a creative career spanning more than a decade, Jac’Queena has worked across fashion, entertainment, and celebrity culture. Her experience has shaped a distinct approach to styling, storytelling, image, and product development. Her work reflects the discipline of a designer, the instinct of a visionary, and a deep understanding of how fashion moves through culture.
Her creations are more than visual statements. They are functional objects designed for movement and real life, combining beauty, structure, utility, and wearability. Every piece is created with intention and engineered to be seen, used, and experienced.
Her background in sports, cheerleading, drill team, and Catholic school uniforms also helped shape her design language. Where others saw uniformity, Jac’Queena saw identity, structure, and an opportunity for personal expression.
YTUSI® first came to her as a whisper at the age of 12. In 2020, the vision became clear when she created and patented the original YTUSI® belt, beginning a growing portfolio of original designs, protected concepts, and intellectual property.
Her connection to pearls is deeply personal. Shaped by her journey as the underdog, she views pearls as symbols of pressure, resilience, wisdom, refinement, and becoming something rare without losing your value.
These are not our grandmother’s pearls, just the wisdom of them.
Now based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jac’Queena is building YTUSI® as a global luxury sports design brand supported by internationally protected intellectual property.
